Say mailing refund when was supposed to be direct deposits

I called turbo tax and after 3 calls going to automated support I ignored their prompts and just said customer support. The lady told me that turbo tax will be sending me an invoice for their services minus the amount of the processing costs of the DD. they are going to be screwed out of a lot of money as many people will not be paying them.

Lets see, the IRS mails the check, you paid for the cost of filing the return plus a DD processing fee.  The return wasn't DD and Intuit is still going to take the DD fee?  I learned quickly that its best to just pay the filing fee up front because they will not charge a DD fee this way.  Its a hidden cost when you ask to have it deducted from your return.

Agreed and I am irritated that I can't find anyone at TT that can offer any information other than the obvious! I will be pulling the funds from the DD account listed and not depositing this money there so they cannot pull fees this year. Mailing a letter this weekend certified to TT making them aware they have lost a customer.

I’ve never been so frustrated and disappointed. We are definitely looking at other options for next year.

Everyone.....regarding how to pay the fees,

  If the IRS adjusts your refund or it's taking too long and you still need to pay the fees you should get an email and directed to pay here.  If you don't pay the SBTPG bank will directly debit your account.

We were told this....
The email gives them three ways to pay for TT related fees by...
1.) To pay it online, it gives them a link directly to website where the customer has to enter TT order number and zip code
2.) To call 1-888-808-1723 to pay
3.) It tells them that their account will be auto-debited Day 44 of collections (65 days from filing): The customer has until close of business on Tuesday of that week to pay their fees electronically. After that time the Auto Debit will occur.

I filed one month ago today.  I also wonder those that are getting their money today if they also got the same message we are about mailing our refund.  Did they get it Direct Deposit?

I meant they fild mid Feb and already getting. I was accepted on Jan 16th and had zero errors or negative codes. Weekly updated being cycle 20190405 so I get 1 update a week on Saturday SUCKS

Well it’s 3/01 and instead of direct deposit like I should have received, there is nothing saying that it mailed no out today.  I’m hoping it updates soon, this sucks.

Same boat :( I had called last week to find out why my bars disappeared on the application the lady at the IRS told me their system showed we were scheduled for direct deposit on 3/1 the app updates the next day saying mailed by 3/1 and nothing deposited today. So frustrating

Same here, mine was accepted Jan 15th federal and state.. says be mailed out on 3/1 which is today and just checked status. Still no change or update. I filled and paid upfront out of pocket $90 for this horrible service to be direct deposit, only for them to snail mail my money Not re using them next year

Most of us are on weekly updates so the check will mail today and updates to WMR tonight. SUCKS BUT TRUE

I just want to know who messed up and why...  Out of all of these years I have done direct deposit and never had an issue until this year.  I've had refunds this large DD before.  And this weekly cycle needs to come to an end.  I am seriously thinking about engaging the a tax advocate about the issues.
