What is the status on fixing error code R0000-058-01 when electronically filing?
Will this be fixed before April 15?
There are many TT users who would like to know. Don't want to wait until April 15 and then find out we have to mail in returns.
When calling in, no one seems to know anything about this.

The development team has given us an update with regard to customers who are receiving the Reject Code R0000-058-01 when trying to electronically file thei return. The resolution to this situation is taking longer than expected and it may not be resolved before the tax filing deadline.
For reference, this information is from the IRS Instructions for Form 7206:Generally, you can use the worksheet in the Form 1040 instructions to figure your deduction. However, if any of the following apply, you must use Form 7206.
In order to proceed and get your return filed in a timely manner, please follow this advice:
1 - If you are required to include Form 7206 as a part of your tax return based on the information above, then you need to print and mail your return. Electronic filing will not be an option if the reject code persists.
2 - If you are not required to include Form 7206 as part of your tax return, then you can attempt to delete Form 7206 and try electronically filing your return once again. If the form cannot be deleted or you still get the reject code, then you need to print and mail your return.
Use the steps in the following TurboTax help articles to delete Form 7206:

I received this error which caused my Federal and State e-filing to be rejected. I correct the form names per instruction by TT and submitted returns again. Rejected again. I now have to scramble to file by mail and get it to the post office on Monday 15 APR. I have called TT customer service and am now waiting for a return call regarding the matter because I had to pay $25 extra to e-file in my state and there is no where in the platform to request a refund from TT on that fee.

Related Information:
We only have 1 source of income subject to self-employment tax, and no qualified long-term care insurance, so I checked my forms and found 2 Form 2555's. I opened each and found nothing in either form so I deleted them. I then made sure my self-insurance info was on Schedule 1, Part II, Line 17 (which it was). This info is not populated by form 7206, so I deleted Form 7206. I then refiled (after 2 previous rejects) and this time my tax return was accepted by the IRS.
