there have been other reports of this. don't know if this is for real or a scheme to get your identity. contact support on Monday.
If you already e-filed and it was accepted, then no other tax return using your SSN will be accepted----so even if someone is trying to use your SSN to file a return, the return they try to file will be rejected.
You're using a different TurboTax account this year. It's important that you contact us right away. | ||||

This is a valid email so if you have already efiled your return then you have nothing to worry about ... the second filing will simply be rejected by the IRS.
I set up a fake return each year and file it just to get the rejection message so I have that info to pass along. I just opened another account and used the same fake name & SS# and tried to efile again ... TT sent the same email since they did see a second return using the same name/SS#/Bday and they have put it on a 2 day hold. If I do not call in to report the "fraud" TT will release the return but again it will simply be rejected.
Are you sure you did not do this yourself ? Were you trying to do some tax planning or amending and filed a second time by accident?
I didn't do this myself, I wouldn't want to repay that tax bill, haha. Thanks for the input, I am awaiting a call back from TT now.
