So the state of NY is giving out those 270 dollar stimulus packages to people who got the Empire State Child Credit and/or the Earned Income Credit.   I'm a little confused.  I went to go back to my form I filed, and on line 27a it says I got an Earned Income Credit....but then on line 65 it is saying I got 0?  Would someone be able to explain if these are two different things or the same?  I'm trying to figure out if I might be getting this extra money or not.

Can you give more details ?   You are asking about a NY issue but referring to the federal form 1040 line 27a  and a non exhistant line 65.   What tax form are you referring to ?  State or federal ?
