Efile check after rejection from bank

So my bank account that I used for my tax return got closed. I was wondering when I should receive my check in the mail or what to expect.

If the information you provided for direct deposit is for a closed or invalid account the government will mail you a refund check to the address listed on your tax return. It will delay the process as the bank will first need to reject the funds and then the IRS will issue the check. The processing of the refund by paper check can take up to 4 weeks when a bank rejects the deposit.

Same thing happened to me. According to sbtpg  my refund wasn’t sent back to irs they still had it and have cut me a check. If you go to their website and put in your information it should have updated info. I haven’t Received my check yet tho it’s only been about 4 days .

@1017Danni  Yes, if its only been 4 days, this process can take quit a few weeks as @JeanneLO has posted above.
