duplicate 2021 tax forms to file 2022

I need to recreate my 2021 tax file since not saved properly.

Is this possible and how?

Why?  You can prepare 2022 without transferring from 2021.  If you don’t have the data file ending in  .tax2021 to transfer, if you want to recreate 2021 you need to install the 2021 program and fill out 2021 like you originally did it.  You can use the forms mode.  Then that will give you the .tax2021 file to transfer into 2022.   Why didn’t it save properly?  Did you use the Desktop program?   How did you save it?  

If you don't have the main .tax file you might have one that starts with a Tilde sign ~ like  "~your name.tax2021".  That file is if your computer crashes or your real file gets lost or deleted or corrupt so you can restore it.
