My return from last year I haven't hear anything about it so I call them and they telling me to 8 weeks before I call back it's been 15 months on my refund from last year and I don't know about these irs people
My taxes was supposed to be direct deposit into my bank account today and has yet to be deposit But my status still says direct deposit today
Where does it say "direct deposit today"? If the IRS says the DD is scheduled to be sent today then was it actually sent ? Your bank can take up to 5 business days to accept and post the refund.
How long did it take for the funds to be sent?? Did you get them the next day? Im in the same situation, fund date is supposed to be today, but its not sent

Did you get any send date from the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool? That's what you should go by, and the IRS also says to allow "up to 5 days" due to variations in bank processing times/procedures. If you're referring to a date mentioned on TurboTax after you filed your return, that's just an estimate.
Does this IRS WMR tool says the funds have been sent?

There may be another link in the chain that you can check in the meantime if you used the following service:
Did you have any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund? If so, the funds go first from the IRS to a temporary account at an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest of the funds on to your bank (or card.) If you DID use that method to pay fees, and if the IRS has actually sent the funds, you can check on the funds at the level of the intermediary company (SBTPG) using SBTPG's refund lookup tool.

If you did NOT use that method to pay fees, then the info above about SBTPG won't apply to you.
Friday

Was your refund supposed to go directly from the IRS to your bank, or did you have any TurboTax fees that you chose to pay out of the Federal refund?

If i woulda known that I woulda just paid the daym fees. Just seemed easier to have the taken out of refund.
note to self: Next year DONT actually NEED your refund!!!!
It actually says “by” which means before but no later than ……. So what it doesn’t say “on” it should still be there on or BY … not after. If it’s after what’s the point of providing a by date
Thank you so much
I got the 12 C letter asking for info and I responded quickly providing the requested info and have heard nothing from the IRS what is going on been waiting for the refund responded to the requested on 06/03/22 via certified mail which was received not sure what the hold up is never had any issues before and Turbo Tax requested payment I paid them instantly they were suppose to take it out my refund I guess they did not want to wait. I do not get it ? What is the truth behind the 12C letter... Had I not responded then what because I responded and still nothing ...
The IRS is woefully behind in processing everything so it may take much longer than normal to process. You can try calling the number on the notice but don't expect them to answer the phone or speed up the processing time.
