Does anyone know how to get help when turbo tax has made a mistake?

My state is telling me that they have no record of me filing for the past 2 years, even though I filed using Turbo Tax.  I cannot get anyone at Turbo Tax to help me figure out if they made a mistake (which it seems that they did!)

What is the status of the state tax returns?

 

To check the status of an e-filed return, open up your desktop product or log into your TurboTax Online Account. You can find your status within the TurboTax product.

The state income tax office is telling me that they have no returns for me for the past 2 years.  The money that I owed was taken out of my bank account, but they say they have no returns.  And turbo tax won't help me try to figure out what happened.

If you selected direct debit from your bank account for the state taxes owed, then the state had to receive your tax return since that information was Only on the state tax return that was filed.

Or did you pay the taxes owed by credit card or by mailing a check?

I paid by direct debit.  But they looked me up by my SSN, by my name, etc., and they have no record of me in the system.  They told me to contact Turbo Tax, but I haven't been able to do that!

Then they did receive the returns but somehow their system screwed up and does not have a record.

You will have to contact TurboTax support and request a confirmation number for the state return that you e-filed.
