For 2025 Tax Year returns, I originally e-filed my returns where I owed IRS some amount (let's say $10,000 as example). I had put a future withdrawal date of April 10, 2026 to withdraw this amount electronically from my bank account.
When I filed that, I incorrectly put my remaining balance on the home mortgage at $1.7 M instead of $1.5 M, resulting in me owing more taxes than necessary (as the interest deduction from form 1098 was reduced).
I now filed an amended return, and that resulted in $800refund (i.e. total owed amount reduced to $9,200). Confusingly, after my amended returns e-file was accepted, TurboTax shows a screen to "Print and mail these forms to the government". That only contains form 1040-V with $9,200.
I am now confused. Will IRS still withdraw the $10K on April 10, then send me a refund of $800; or I need to print the form 1040-V and send a check for $9,200 along with it? Or should I ignore the 1040-V since my e-file was accepted?
