I go to the WMR site and it says We can not provide any info about your refund. To call IRS and give Ref# 9001 what does this mean

@jamrod85 I honestly don't know, but yes it's a waiting game for us. Will you update me when you hear or receive something please. CSR said they mail letters out after the 28th because that's the original date they start the process, she don't see that my letter has been mailed.

21 days from the 28th, I think I got the 9001 code simply because this is my first time using turbo tax and they probably just want to make sure I'm who I say I am. Security purposes only you know? Is this your first time using turbo tax @jamrod85 ?

And I'm only seeing this issue with people who used turbo tax to e-file, no one else is having this problem. Everyone that I've asked return status is saying mid February.. Why is turbo tax users saying different I don't know.

No I use tax slayer this year and at first it said return accepted then it gave me the error code 9001 . I called the IRS and they told me to wait 21 days from the date I filed.

@marianatali62 is this your first time using tax Slayer? And more than likely you may get a letter because of the error code. The point about that is having to wait 21 days and then after waiting up to 21 more days to get the letter. It sucks!

Yes it was my first time.... It really sucks... Im a single mom and needing it alot.... Im hoping it will run smoothly

@jamrod85 it's gonna work out IRS just trying to make sure it's not anything fraudulent going on. Their making sure that you are in fact the one submitting your tax return, next year it shouldn't happen. Like you said it's our money we need it now and I'm a single mother as well. Having to wait is the problem I've heard even after verification it can still take up to 6-9 weeks to receive refund, so I've heard.

Us first timers having it hard right now, I was trying to save hundreds on in office prep fees because I need it to bad. Thinking maybe I should've just went ahead and paid the fees ughhh.

I called and was asked a bunch of questions, afterwards I was put on hold for about 5 mins. I was then told that my return is still processing, and to keep checking the wmr site the 9001 is a glitch.

@keitha  the csr just told me to wait. :( if after 21 days it didn’t change to give them a call back.

@marianatali62  the woman I spoke with was really nice. She told me to call back if I had any other concerns and that she didn’t she any codes on my return. I’ve heard a lot of people say that the 9001 should update Saturday.
