Once your return has been accepted (or mailed), it's too late to change direct deposit bank account information. If the information provided is for a closed or invalid account the government will mail you a refund check. Please see the TurboTax FAQ here for more information.
They did the same **bleep** to me. Got an advance, it was deposited into a CK account that I had for over a year. Spent my advance and was waiting for my refund to hit and on Feb 8 I got an email saying the closed my accounts. Ive contacted them and talked to 3 different reps and nobody can give me an answer why it was closed. I've contacted the BBB , mvb bank and even chat with ck. I keep getting lied to and ignored. I was told I would recieve an email from the higher ups in min. And that was 2 days ago. I feel like they did me dirty and are trying to **bleep** me over on purpose . The fact they have no explanation at all of why this is speaks volumes about there company.
That’s so messed up they have lied and lied to me since the 8th and told me they were going to transfer my money into my external bank account. Not only have they lied and lied but they mailed my federal return on the 8th after they swore up and down they would transfer my funds. So they played us that’s why I’m am filing a law suit against tho worst most unprofessional company I have ever felt with in my entire life..
So they accepted the direct deposit even though they closed your account?!? That is insane!
this same thing happened to me. Account was closed YESTERDAY and today my refund was deposited to them. I’m so mad and this just seems so wrong, they shouldn’t be able to close an account knowing you have money coming in.
how long did it take to get the check?
Once your tax return has been filed, there is no way to update your refund method. If Credit Karma closed your account, they will most likely reject the deposit and the IRS will mail your refund check to the address on your tax return. Please see this Help Article for more information.
