I received a CP11 notice from the IRS for tax due, although I should have a refund instead. IRS says they found errors and changed my return. There is no dispute on adjusted gross income, taxable income, withholding, or estimated tax payments. My Turbotax associate reviewed everything including all the work sheets for errors and they claim everything is fine. No software bugs, either. The transcripts are the only official documentation of the changes the IRS made in my return, but I have spoken to them extensively. I reviewed my return as well and feel I can defend my particular form 6251 AMT were the IRS intimated the changes/errors reside.
Does anyone have similar experiences?
Thank you,
Quenton
