Corrected W2

My son received a W2 that is clearly wrong, doubled his local wage reporting over the actual Federal/State wages earned and reported.  The employer refuses to provide a corrected W2, stating that the local wages are correct.  Is this a situation that Turbo Tax will allow for creation of a form 4852 and file electronically or will he have to do a paper return for Federal/State/Local?  Thanks

Form 4852 can be created in TurboTax, but the tax return can’t be e-filed with this form. The IRS has a process when an employer refuses to issue a corrected W-2 which your son should follow.

Your son can contact the IRS to begin a W-2 complaint.  Review the IRS FAQ I received an incorrect Form W-2. My former employer won’t issue me a corrected Form W-2. What shoul... for additional information.
