Claiming 3 years vs 2 years of American Opportunity Tax Credit

While working in the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC) section of 2024 TurboTax,  if I claim 3 years of the AOTC, it doesn't calculate that I'm eligible for the credit. However, if I go back and say I have only claimed 2 years of AOTC, I am eligible.  I could be wrong, but from what I've read, you can claim up to 4 years of the American Opportunity Tax Credit.  What am I doing wrong
