I filed my taxes a week ago. I went on to the irs web site and got our child care stimulus to report. It had a 50cent increment on both of ours. When I tried to add that in it rounded up and it would have made our amount too high. So what I did was take 50 cents from mine and gave it to my husbands and that made the dollar amount correct. Do I need to file an amendment with just it rounding up? I'm second guessing myself now.

No, you do not need to amend the filed tax return for this. Only the Total amount received in advance child tax credits is reported on the tax return.
Do you mean it will add both of ours together off the return and we will have the correct dollar amount? I know how much of sticklers they are to the penny.

Yes, the program will add both together and only enter the Total for the calculating the child tax credit on the 2021 tax return.
