If you were not eligible for either or both of the Economic Impact Payments, you may still be eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit since it’s based on your 2020 tax return information. Recovery Rebate Credit 

To claim the credit on form 1040X:.

• Select Federal from the Left menu
• Go to Federal Review, we’ll check if you meet eligibility requirements for the stimulus payment. If you meet the requirements, you'll see a Did you get a first or second stimulus? screen. We'll ask a few questions about any payments you've already received and then let you know if the Recovery Rebate Credit applies.

This is an older thread that may have outdated information. 

What exactly are you trying to do?  Are you getting an error message?  Please post your exact question here in the thread and someone will reach out with the next steps.

There is no such thing on the 2022 tax return  nor for 2023. 

If you did not get all or any of the first 2 stimulus payments you must file (or amend) a 2020 return and for the third stimulus payment that goes on the 2021 return.
