Can I manually overide an entry when I haven't file yet?

Not when using the online program ... what do you need to change ?

I wanted to overide the tax credit, but I have given up since it has been so long getting a response to my question,so I accepted the figure given by Turbo Tax and filed my returns.

You don't want to change the amount of your refund manually. The refund is based on your income taxed at various rates minus the taxes you have paid in plus any credits for which you qualify.

Perhaps you mean the stimulus payments were entered incorrectly? You can search for stimulus and jump to that section.

Plan ahead for the refund you want next year.
