Can I change my bank account number after IRS sending me the refund? I put the incorrect one and I don’t know where the money goes. I call them and no one replied me.

The refund was sent five days ago and I did not receive it. I checked with the bank and noticed that I have put the wrong one and I cannot change. I need my money back. What should I do?

If the bank rejected the deposit the IRS will mail a check to the address on your return.  It will take a couple weeks.

You said you put the wrong bank number on your return.  If you didn't get the refund deposit then whatever wrong number you entered will reject the deposit. If your name is not on the wrong account number the bank sent it back to the IRS.  Were you having any fees deducted from the refund?  Then it goes back to the sbtpg 3rd party bank that took the fees out.
