Can I ammend my return to get missing stimulus payments?

My child turned 18 in 2019, when I didn't recieve a stimulus check for her I thought it might have gone to her instead. Neither of us recieved hers.

Sorry she had to be UNDER 17 on Dec 31, 2020 to qualify.  Was she your dependent in 2020?  If she filed her own independent return she could get the 1st and 2nd rounds on her own return.

We are being told by another tax preparing agency that it depended on my 2019 taxes which I did claim her but not in 2020. Suggestions on what to do?

But you said she turned 18 in 2019?  Like I said dependents have to be UNDER 17 to get the Stimulus payment for them.
