Can I amend My 2020 Return to correct Filing Status Electronically - Return Accepted not Finalized

My return is still in limbo. I have not been issued a refund though it was accepted. I had to send a 8962 which its been 3 weeks they have not even processed they said 6 - 8 weeks. What happens if I amend my 2020 return to include the missing 8962 and adjust the Filing Status. I have not been issued my refund as of yet. Return was accepted 2/11/21.

Need some direction. Please

in your situation you need to know exactly what IRS did with your original return + extra form you sent in.

Thanks - They have not responded or updated anything since I sent the form 3 weeks ago. My acceptance date was 2/11/2021.  All that was sent was 1095-A and 8962.  Currently there are not supposed to be any subsidy penalty for being over 400% due to recovery act of 3/21. Have no idea because when I call they say they don't see anything in the system. No other letters just 12C which I faxed what they asked for 3 wks ago. No Stimulus either for dependent. Nothing.
