I'm trying to claim the Opportunity Maine tax credit. This is the first year I have done it and they require proof of my student loans. What sort of proof do I need?

I'm trying to claim the Opportunity Maine tax credit. This is the first year I have done it and they require proof of my student loans and that I have paid them.  What sort of proof do I need? Billing statements?

Billing statements alone will not do. You must provide proof of payment: cancelled checks, bank or creditr card records.
