When I use the amend software it says I only have return changes for federal and Indiana taxes, but it still prints out the Illinois non-resident form for 2017 when I select "print all needed files". The directions for federal and Indiana specifically say "steps to send in your amended form", but for Illinois it just states how to file my 2017 taxes... which I already did last year. Just confirming that I don't need to re-file my non-resident Illinois forms in this situation where all I changed was capital gains, as my only income from Illinois is from my job, I've never lived in the state.

As long as your added capital gain is not Illinois-sourced (for example, a capital gain from sale of a property located in Illinois), there is no need to amend your Illinois return.
