Any updates on how to track the IRS unemployment tax refund?

Filed a simple return in February 2020. IRS tax account transcript doesn't show any refund status yet, at least for me.

@VolvoGirl This doesn't answer my question :( Good information, but I'm looking for a literal tracker of sorts or a way to see person-specific updates.

nope.  and the IRS amended return link doesn't work for automatic amendments.

There is no way to track this since the department who has been tasked with this and all the other unusual situations this year are overwhelmed by millions of returns  in a department only set up to process thousands of returns per year.   And the IRS can only hire and train so many people so fast to handle the extra load even if they had enough workstations for all the new hires.   Patience will be needed by all involved while the IRS tries to complete more with less yet again.
