I initially submitted my return as single and it got approved. Return was deposited into my account. My spouse has yet to file her return. I am needing to amend my return to file as married filing jointly. I've attempted to do this and the amended return keeps getting rejected with the following error message:
IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database.
IND-027-02 - If 'PINTypeCd' in the Return Header has the value "Self-Select On-Line" and 'SpouseBirthDt' has a value, then 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' or 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpouseIdentityProtectionPIN' must have a value.
I don't see anywhere within turbotax to edit AGI, assuming that is the issue, and it never asked me about my spouse's AGI while filling out the amendment. I was told my spouse needed to also file as single, then we amend the return via paper return. Is this the route we should be taking? This is the first time i've ever done taxes married, so any advice is appreciated.

You may have to paper file your amendment. I don't think efiling an amendment is allowed when you are changing from Single to Married Filed Jointly.
Here is an FAQ: How do I print and mail my return in TurboTax Online?
