I filed my taxes as single but I should have filed Head of household since I’m separated from my husband and my son is in college. But I’m afraid I will owe and I don’t want to do it myself again because evidently I don’t know what I’m doing. How can I get a actual person to do my taxes at turbo tax?

You mention that you are separated from your husband but you do not mention how long you have been separated. If you are still legally married, you cannot file as "Single"---your filing choices are married filing jointly or married filing separately.....OR if you have been separated for at least the last six months of 2025 and you are supporting the dependent child, you may be able to file as Head of Household.
Am I Head of Household?
If you qualify as Head of Household, when you enter your marital status (single or married filing separately) into MyInfo, and then enter your qualifying dependent, TurboTax will offer HOH as your filing status.
The real problem is as I said I evidently don’t know what I am doing because I’ve already filed as single when I should have filed Head of household since I do qualify. I’m trying to find out how I can amend my taxes and get help from someone who knows what I don’t know.
You cannot amend until the original return has been fully processed. The Form 1040X to amend is not yet available. It is scheduled to be available on 2-26--with that date subject to change. Meantime....do not even touch the return or try to make any changes.
