Amend 2023 tax return in 2024

I have been using turbotax for years.  In doing my 24 return I realized I forgot to apply for a credit in 23. I have the return on my desk top program but I can not do it with the 23 program.  Can I use the 24 program to submit it to the IRS, if so how do I get the amendment started on the 23 return?

You will have to use the TurboTax 2023 desktop program to amend the 2023 tax return.  You cannot use the 2024 desktop program to amend a 2023 tax return.

I did do that in the 23 program but it would not let me submit it electronically as turbotax cut off submissions the end of 2023.  Is it possible to submit it electronically in the 24 program?

Only a 2024 amended tax return can be e-filed and then only up through October 15, 2025.

The 2023 amended tax return has to be printed and mailed, it cannot be e-filed using TurboTax.
