Amend 2020 Filed Federal Return

I am attempting to amend my 2020 Federal Income tax return in Turbo Tax Deluxe CD.  As I start to amend my return, the software is not transferring my originally filed data.  I am receiving a blank return (without any underlying data) to adjust for the amendment. At this point, it looks like I need to reenter all of my data to admend my return. Is there a different way of importing my data so that I can amend it?

You don't import the information ... you open the return.  Did you use the downloaded version to file the original return ?   If so when you open the program the option to amend the return should be presented.
