• I have been fighting with the irs for almost 2 years and finally dec 20th they closed my account finally Jan 3rd they took action on my account and im getting the money back. I have been using the where's my refund on the irs site and its telling me nothing on when ill get the money back or if its mailed or direct deposit. They also told me 3-6 weeks and the letter says 6-8. I thought getting an advocate was suppose to help get me the money back sooner. In some cases yes but this last part of not knowing anything is really bugging.

Do not expect quick results from amending.  And...you will not see information on the "normal" IRS refund site for a refund for an amended return.
