After downloading, I received in the mail a corrected 1099 that had a supplement page saying that we had income reported that did not qualify for the 2% tax break. Fix?

I can't figure out how to enter the new information in the already completed taxes.

If your return was already submitted, you would need to complete an amended return to add or change anything on the return.

You can learn more on amending the return here. Please let us know if we can further assist you. @A917

I need to know how to enter the info for the corrected 1099 Div that I received AFTER I had downloaded the forms from the brokerage.  I don't see where to enter that part of the income now falls under the 2% Exclusion Rule.Do I have to delete the old 1099 and reenter manually as a corrected form?

You can delete it and reenter it manually.

Follow these steps to delete your 1099-DIV in TurboTax:

  1. Go to Form 1099-DIV   (this should take you to your Form 1099-DIV)
  2. Select the trash can next to your 1099-DIV and then answer Yes

You can also:

  1. Enter 1099-misc in the Search box, then
  2. select the Jump to link.
  3. The Jump to link will take you directly to the 1099-MISC Summary screen.
  4. Select Edit or Delete next to the 1099-MISC you want to change or delete.

Then enter your corrected Form as it is shown.

For TurboTax Download Version:

The easiest way to enter Form 1099-DIV is to open your return, search for 1099-DIV, and select the Jump to link at the top of your search results. That'll take you to the screen where you can enter your dividend income.

For TurboTax Online Version:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account and open (continue) your return
  2. Select Federal from the left menu, then Wages & Income
  3. Locate the section titled Investments & Savings and select Show More, then select Start or Revisit next to Dividends on 1099-DIV
  4. Select Okay! On the screen Time to kick off your investments! OR Yes on the screen Did you receive any dividend income? then Continue
    • If you see the screen Your investments & savings or Here's your 1099-DIV info, select Add investments or Add another 1099-DIV, then Continue
  5. Choose how you'd like to enter your 1099-DIV:
    • If you want to import your form, select your bank or brokerage from the list, enter your sign-in info for your online account, and select Get my form
    • If you'd rather manually enter your form, select Change how I enter my form, select 1099-DIV, then Type it in myself on the following screen
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the info from your 1099-DIV
  7. When you reach the screen Here's your 1099-DIV info, the form you just entered should be listed
