There is a difference between a child tax credit and an additional child tax credit... A child tax credit is for those tax payers who have enough TAXABLE INCOME to qualify for the full 1000 credit... An additional child tax credit is for all the others who's taxable income isn't high enough to qualify them for the full credit.. Soo if ur taxable income only qualifies u for 500 of the 1000 tax credit the government gives I an additional credit so u qualify for the full 1000.00...

So on that SBTG site if it says 0.00 recieved that means they haven't pulled their payment right?

I received child tax credit and a small amount of the additional. Zero eic. So for a very small amount of the additional child tax credit they will hold my return. Which is silly.  But there's nothing any of can do about it. It isn't what it is. Keep barely scraping by!
