If I spoof the FITW to show a refund due, numbers show on 1040. Why don't they show for taxes owed?

No, this is not a glitch. Your bank routing number and account number are only supposed to show on your 1040 Form if you are getting a refund.
If you chose to pay your balance due via E-pay (Direct Debit), your bank account information should be shown on your Filing Instructions page, in the Balance Due/Refund section. For direct debit, you will see the payment amount, your bank routing and account numbers, and the withdrawal date (if you did not select a date, the debit date will automatically default to 04/17/2018).
Within the TurboTax program, you will find your direct debit bank account information in the section labelled Federal Information Worksheet Part V - Direct Deposit or Direct Debit.

The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?
In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
Please check for updates here: Coronavirus Tax Relief
So to confirm, if you entered your banking details and selected a date in the future July, 1 2020 for me - does the IRS already have my banking info or will TurboTax send it on July 1st? I've read conflicting things but I'm hoping that this means they have my info for a direct deposit of the stimulus check.
Can you confirm that they either do have the info or they do not?
The boxes are all x'ed out on my return when I download it as well. But I did setup a payment date with my banking info.
Thank You!
"On all returns that are printed, the banking information is masked so if you see XXX's in the accounting and routing information, the IRS has your banking information on file.
Hey so what if you know you put your info in for direct deposit but when I go to download docs, nothing is showing up????
If you mean that the numbers are X'd out on the downloaded document, it is done for security reasons. To review previously-entered bank account info, revisit the File section in TurboTax. If you mean something else, please respond back so that we can try to help.
Where do I enter my bank's routing or account numb ...
