I was looking at my tax history and noticed that this year the exemption is 0 while previous year it was always about 12k. Is this correct?

Yes, exemptions have been eliminated because of tax reform. They have been "replaced" with a nearly double standard deduction, increased child tax credit, and relatively lower tax brackets. Although exemptions are no longer used, most people's effective tax rate is lower in 2018 than previous years.

Actually the personal exemption (4,000 per person last  year) has gone away.  Did you claim 3 exemptions last year?   Now you get a double Standard Deduction.

This year the Standard Deduction will be doubling so many people will be switching to the Standard Deduction.  And there is a max 10,000 limit of State, local, property, and sales tax (SALT) deduction.  And you can only deduct Medical/Dental that's over 7.5% of your AGI.  And W2 job expenses have been suspended.
