I got my Stimulus payment of $2,400 nut does not include $500 for my child which was included in 2019 ITR. What do I do?

We have not been told that the IRS plans to make corrections to payment advances, which were intended to be estimates of the credit for taxpayers.
Underpayments can be corrected on 2020 tax returns when they are filed in 2021.
However, things are always subject to change.

I did not receive the $500 for son last year. Due to the divorce decree, I claimed him in 2019 and his dad will for 2020. Is there a way to still get the child stimulus payment?
No. The stimulus is based on your 2020 tax return. The person claiming him for 2020 gets the check.
I thought the $500 child stimulus payment was made in mid-2020, based on 2019 return. The 2020 return is just now being filed.
No. They had to send out checks in a hurry last year so they used 2018 and 2019 returns but the stimulus is a credit based in advance on your 2020 return. If you received it last year and do not qualify for it for 2020 you do not have to pay it back. But now in 2020 the IRS is not going to go back to 2019 to give it to you. You can only get it if you are eligible on your 2020 tax return.
