I read that the path act filers have to be held until the end of the day 2/14/25. With the 15th being a Saturday, that pushs it to Monday, which is a holiday, so it pushes that to today Feb18th. I also read that the past act filers will be distributed in two waves on the 19th and 20th of this week. I also read that early path filers could have a status change as of the 17th (so 18th), and if not by then, than definitely by Saturday the 22nd
I've always received my refund on Wednesday.
I've seen people receive refunds without the website status or app status changing to say approved and sent.
Pretty sure if you don't get some type of notification on your account email, text, whatever by tomorrow or Thursday then you should receive a status change by Saturday the 22nd, and should have your deposit by Feb 26th, 5 days early should be Friday the 21st.
They did say that refunds under path act should all be sent by March 3rd. 5 days early would be Wednesday the 26th.
According to the irs.gov website the path act waves go out on the 19th and 20th, usually it takes 7 days to process into your bank account which would make it the 26th or 27th. However being 5 days early would make it Friday the 21st or Saturday the 22nd. I'm hoping that's what happens.
You can go to IRS.gov and either look up or create an account(you have to verify who you are with ID) that lists all your yearly tax transactions including dates codes pertaining to your tax documents for each year.
Also your account number determines whether you are updated daily or weekly. 01 at the end is daily, and I believe 05 at the end means you're updated weekly.
It will clue you in as to whether your refund has been processed, or if they need other documents from you, any expected dates, etc.
You can look up the codes and what they each mean.
I hope this helps a little. Good luck to all and God bless everyone.
