2019 Tax Filing

I filed my federal and Mississippi income taxes electronically at 12:40pm on July 16th and both my federal and state taxes are showing they were not filed. I am due a refund for the state taxes, but owe federal taxes which were to be withdrawn from my checking account. They still have not been withdrawn and now I am sure I will be charged a major penalty.

I would have made the July 15th midnight deadline, but because of slow internet connections and service dropping, it took much longer to transmit.

How can I confirm my tax filings were actually received???? I've never had this problem in all the years I've used TurboTax. I'm very concerned! Can you confirm my filings were received? Thank you. Myra N.

You have to check your own e-file status.  We cannot check it for you.

Or are you using the Desktop program?  

For the Desktop program you have to check the filing status inside the program.  Open your return and go up to menu item

File > Electronic Filing > Check Electronic Filing Status
