It's been a month since I e-filed my federal and state return. I had my federal refund in less than 2 weeks. My Michigan return was excepted. After waiting a month I logged onto the Michigan site called "Where is my Refund". It shows my return is "Pending Review". The information box below shows this means it is waiting for a "Manual Review". The completion date shows not until 08-12-2020.
I'm retired and I am dependent on this money for food and bills. I can't call anyone or even email anyone. I am so frustrated that the state of Michigan is treating retirees this way.
Anyone else have this issue with Michigan IRS? Have you found anyway to talk o email someone? Is there any help through TurboTax?

Our Michigan refund has been pending review for months also. When I dug deeper it said that review should be complete May 25. It is now July 1. Michigan is a MESS. I am a retiree also living in Florida and really need our money. Federal refund came within 2 weeks of filing. Both were accepted on the same day.
Turbotax should provide some assistance for those of us who expected professional service.
Sorry--your expectations from the business that provided you with do-it-yourself tax software is unrealistic. TurboTax cannot legally intercede with the IRS or the state for you to find out about your refund or to try and speed it up. Once your return has been filed, TurboTax receives no information from the IRS or the state. You can contact the state yourself to inquire.
