1120S efile status pending

Fiscal year end of October 31 return due 1/16/24 efiled return on 1/7 and status still shows pending.

Will the return be accepted by IRS or do I need to paper file?

It's filed for 2022 tax season fiscal year is 11/1/22 - 10/31/23.

I know the IRS is not accepting 2023 returns yet but are they still accepting 2022 returns via efile?

The IRS will not be accepting any e-filed tax returns until 01/29/2024. Then they will start pulling tax returns from servers of all the tax preparation companies, like TurboTax. Your return will remain in a Pending state until the IRS opens their systems.
