How to type in 1099-INT ?

Enter a 1099-Int under

Federal

Wages & Income

Interest and Dividends

Interest on 1099-INT - Click the Start or Update button

If you didn't get a 1099 put the total in Box 1.

Don't try to import it. For Online…..On the Let import your tax info go down to the bottom and pick Change how I enter my form. Then pick Type it in myself.

For Desktop program scroll down to Skip Import.

To enter your 1099-INT:

1. Open TurboTax
2. Select Federal from the menu
3. Select Wages & Income
4. Select the down arrow at Investments & Savings
5. Select Start or Revisit next to Interest on 1099-INT
6. Select Yes on the Did you have investment income in 2025 screen
7. Select Enter a different way on the next screen
8. Select Type in in myself on the next screen
9. Follow the prompts to add your 1099-INT.
