1099-C after tax return filing

My tax refund has been processed. But I received a 1099-C form from Robinhood after I filed. The only change is in qualified dividend. It has changed from 1.34 to 1.17. Everything else is correct. When I updated that on turbotax, it shows no change in tax refund amount. Do I need to file an amendment?

To amend your 2019 tax return: Wait to see if your return has been accepted or rejected by the IRS or state. If rejected, you can correct and re-send your return. If accepted you should wait until your return has been processed and you receive your refund or conformation that any tax due has been paid. If you file an amended return while you first return is being processed it can cause extended delays for both returns if two returns are in the system at the same time. In addition, if the IRS makes any change on your original return, you might end up having to amend the amendment. Amended returns can only be mailed - allow 8-12 weeks - can take up to 16 weeks (4 months) for processing.

1099-C after tax return filing

Thank you SForrestL for your information. I already received my refund. Now my question was do I have to file an amendment even if 1) the change in the 1099-C form from Robinhood is just $0.17 (qualified dividend was $1.34 in the original 1099-DIV and now it's $1.17) and 2) the taxable income and tax refund amount do not change after I uploaded 1099-C to Turbotax.

Do I have to file amendments for both federal and state tax return?

Thank you.

If the difference in the corrected forms is just .17 cents and there is no difference in the tax and refund amounts when you enter the new forms, I would not file an amended return.

It looks like the difference is being wiped out by rounding.
