My son filed the 1098-T in 2018 but didn't get credit because he didn't make enough money. I should have filed it but didn't. If I had used it, I would have gotten credit and a larger refund. Do we both need to amend our returns or just me?

If your son's 1098-T for 2018 qualified you for an Education Credit (Box 1 amount larger than Box 5 amount), and you claimed him as your Dependent, you should Amend your 2018 return.
If he was not your Dependent in 2018, you wouldn't be able to claim his Education Expenses.
If you do Amend your 2018 Return to include the 1098-T, he does not have to amend his return also, since he didn't receive any credit and you were actually eligible to claim it on your return.

I filed my daughters tax return and i believe I entered the 1098t under her name. I should have claimed under mine. Do I need to amend hers? I haven't filed yet. Her tax return states that she is claimed as a dependent on another tax return so I didn't know if it booted it out.
If she qualifies as a dependent on your return, you are entitled to any tuition benefits (credits or deductions) on your return, so you should add the 1098T to your return.
You will need to amend her return if she received any benefit (credit or deduction) from having the tuition reported on her return. If you used TurboTax to prepare her return, the easiest way to determine that would be to start the Amend process on her return and delete that 1098T. If it doesn't change anything, you don't need to finish the amendment. If it does, you will need to finish the amendment.

I was unaware of my 1098-t forms from my college until just now, so I have not filed any from 2017,2018, 2019, or 2020. I am claimed as a dependent by my parents, and only two of the four years is box 5 greater than box 1, do my parents need to amend their taxes, or do I? Or both of us?
If you were a dependent, then they need to amend.

You can amend e-filed returns if they've been accepted; paper-filed returns may be amended once they've been mailed.
If your e-file is still pending, you won't be able to make changes until the IRS either accepts or rejects it. Don't know your e-file status? Here's how to look it up.
