Our refunds are delayed exactly because Trump "drained the swamp" who did he fire? Oh yeah, IRS workers. Interestingly enough every single registered Republican friend that I have has gotten theirs already regardless of child tax credit. Three of my friends filed AFTER I did. Coincidence? I think not. Just keep buttering that base, greasing filthy palms and lining full pockets mr Trump. It's not like you OVERTAXED MY INCOME LIKE A **bleep**ING PERSONAL PIGGY BANK OR ANYTHING. Oh, wait, THATS EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID.

@728mytaxes ,"Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.", means that your return is processing, The IRS will issue a refund date (The date your refund will be deposited or mailed) once they are done with processing. The IRS estimates that most refunds will be sent within three weeks after your e-filed returns are accepted. If 21 days pass after your return is accepted and you are not issued a refund date, you can reach out to the IRS to inquire about the status of your return. After seeing all the replys to this im certain i will receive a letter stating ill be waiting until the end of summer. All i know is i will NEVER use TurboTax ever again because this was my first time and go figure so many others using them has the same problem.. I feel like they delay actually sending to IRS in some way.. i e-filed and it is complete false advertisement when it says it cuts your refund time in half. Bith TurboTax and the IRS oughtta be ashamed of themselves for putting hard working TAX PAYERS in financial binds like this. This is the roughest year financially for me and its the only time i have ever been relying on my tax return to come in just so i can stay afloat. Im broke, taking care of my elderly and sick mother, have absolutely no help with any bills or care. Hospital bills, light bills, water bills, groceries, gas, car insurance, gas bills.. if i pop a tire i am completely screwed amd will have to ride on a donut or get my water and lights shut off.. ME AND MANY OTHERS NEED THIS MONEY ENTITLED TO US SO WE CAN SURVIVE! what is happening to America? When did our government stop caring about the hard working american citizens of this nation that live by the constitution and do what is needed to be the best citizens we can be? My friends daughter recieved her refund for working a few months before quiting her first job and recieved it in  2 weeks and spent that money on weed... yes, she gor caught! But we cant receive ours because their busy looking for tax fraud so they can obtain more money while good people suffer. Do yals jobs! We do ours. Get people their money then go search for tax fraud. Im sure yal have already missed more than have found anyways. Anyone whos refund is still saying processed the best advice i can give you is forget about it. Go ahead and be prepared to wait 6 times as long and pray to God you actually receive it. I give TurboTax -5stars and the IRS -10.. To me this is not right and unnacceptable

I feel your pain. I'm in the Philippines, money is about to run out.  My wife just had a baby, now we're in the predicament of being homeless if I cannot pay the rent. Due on the 19th. And I cannot get any information about when I will receive my fed tax return.  Worst of all, I cannot call the IRS, theres some hiccup with the phone system here that will not allow me to connect a call to them.  Let me know if you have heard anything.  Best of luck.

For anyone still looking at this thread who has not received a letter from the IRS, maybe I can help.

If you filed your taxes with TurboTax in 2020 (for 2019), and you had insurance with the "health marketplace" In 2019, there are additional forms you must file before the IRS can process your return. These additional forms are 1) form 1095-A , and 2) form 8962. Form 1095-A should have been filled out and mailed to you by the marketplace, and your tax preparer will use that information to fill out form 8962.

Since my tax lady told me a ton of people got hit with this problem this year (TurboTax was not prepared for the change), I hope this information can help someone!!

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
See this IRS website for federal tax refund FAQ's - https://www.irs.gov/refunds/tax-season-refund-frequently-asked-questions
If over 21 days since being Accepted by the IRS and the tax refund is still Processing you can call the IRS and speak with an IRS agent concerning your tax refund.
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 4 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.
