refund amount flipped to me owing
I filed my Michigan tax return yesterday and it was accepted. I was getting a $1610 refund. As a senior on a fixed income, imagine my surprise when I saw $1610 was withdrawn from my checking account overdrawing my account and I didn't have enough money in my savings account to cover the balance owed. I spoke the with "Tax Expert" who said that was weird, I was the second person from Michigan that called today with the same issue. He had no idea how to do anything to help. He said maybe file a claim with the state, and file a file with the Accuracy Guarantee department with Turbo Tax. But he had no idea how I could get in touch with them. He asked if I bought the insurance? No. Why? I have a simple return, he gave a big sigh and said I could be out that money. I screamed.. What do I do??
