MAX is an optional add-on package for any paid version of TurboTax Online. It offers a variety of benefits and personalized assistance after you file your taxes.

Audits by the IRS can be random. Confidently handle an audit by the IRS with a dedicated expert who will represent you and communicate with the IRS on your behalf. 

TurboTax® partner, TaxAudit, will take care of everything for as long as your return can be audited, including:

• Developing a plan of action
• Following up with the IRS
• Preparing IRS documents for you
• Representing you in all IRS meetings

Full Identity Protection

Feel secure with comprehensive identity protection through TurboTax® partner, IDnotify. A dedicated specialist will help you each step of the way in the event your identity is compromised. Your benefits include:

• Full Identity Restoration: If you experience personal identity fraud, a dedicated IDnotify specialist will help save you time by taking on the responsibility of recovering your identity. If you’re filing jointly, both the primary and secondary filer, and their dependents are covered. 
• Identity Theft Monitoring: If suspicious activity related to your personal identity is detected online, you’ll be notified promptly, and a dedicated IDnotify specialist can help you quickly react to protect your identity. If you’re filing jointly, both the primary and secondary filer are monitored.
• Identity Theft Insurance: Get reimbursed to recover stolen funds and pay for legal fees and expenses caused by identity theft. If you’re filing jointly, both the primary and secondary filer are covered.

Term of membership

• Full Audit Representation: For the life of the return
• Full Identity Protection: When purchased between November 1, 2024 – April 15, 2025, coverage lasts from the date purchased through April 30, 2026. When purchased between April 16, 2025 – October 31, 2025, coverage lasts from the date purchased through October 31, 2026.
