How to view Forms using TurboTax online (Premium)

I got a letter from the IRS asking me to show supporting details for Federal Income Tax Withheld (1040 line 25d).

I'm used to using the TTax download product, where it's simple to switch to a Forms view, and show the data sources and worksheets that contribute to computed values on the 1040. But I don't see a way to do that with the online version. How can I easily see the list of 1099s which were entered, and the details of each?

Assuming that you have filed the 2022 tax return using the TurboTax online editions, you can view all the worksheets for the return by using Print Center and the option for all worksheets.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2022 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen.  Then click on Print Center.  Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return.  Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

Sorry----Forms mode is a feature of the CD/download.  Online TurboTax does not have Forms mode.   You can see your forms when you have paid your fees.   There is a way to pay and print before filing.  Before you pay,  you can only preview your Form 1040.

Even 1040 is not visible without paying in the online version. There is just a cryptic summary view of income and taxes.

You can view your Form 1040 plus Schedules 1, 2 and 3 at any time using the online editions. Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

Thank you! I missed this because in the download version when you get to the point of finalizing/filing your return it gives you the option of saving a PDF with worksheets and govt forms, but the online version does not.

It didn't occur to me to poke around in Print Center. I appreciate the tip.

And to show the IRS you need to send them a copy of the actual  W2s, 1099Rs and any other forms  showing the withholding in box 4.   What was imported or you entered into your return might have been a wrong amount.

Thanks. I (and TTax) had the correct amount, but my copies of 1099s I had saved were not adding up. Once I learned the trick of using Print Center to view a copy of all my forms including worksheets and govt forms, I realized there was another 1099 that I must have imported into TTax and not printed a copy for my own records.

So the IRS somehow must not have received or found one of my 1099s as well and the error was on their side. I just needed to see the forms that had been entered into TTax in order to generate a complete set of documentation for them.
