Is turbo tax really a free tax preparation service? Or not.

I tried turbo tax last year. It worked great. Was able to add my student load interest in and got a nice refund. This year. I tried to add in my student loan interest and was told I needed to pay for plus. Really? To me every where you turn we are being forced to pay for free tax preparation. So it's not free then is it. Beware of sites claiming to be free. Some sites use file your taxes free as a ruse or lost liter to hook you in to buying their service. Do not fall for it. Free means with out cost to the consumer. Otherwise to me it is false adversing.

WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY?  I WANT THE FREE EDITION

The information that you can enter in Free Edition is pretty limited now.  Thanks to the new tax laws, there are no more simple Form 1040EZ or 1040A's.  Everything goes on a little “postcard-size” Form 1040 that has six extra "schedules" with it, and if you need any of those schedules, you are not able to use the Free Edition.
