Return never filed

The return for 2021 was never received by the CRA, we have a pdf copy of the forms saved to our computer from the desktop Turbotax software, but no confirmation. The software shows that there have been 0 returns submitted, but the pdfs are watermarked with “duplicates do not subit my mail”.

The email address was submitted incorrectly when using the software.

If you still have access to your 2021 tax software, then you can go to the “File” section of the return and file it. The copy saved that has the watermarks is a copy of what you entered only; this doesn’t mean that you had submitted it. If you were not able to NetFile that specific year's return and wanted to mail it out, you would choose “Print and Mail”; otherwise, choose NetFile and continue until you get a CRA confirmation number.
