I lived in NY in 2020 but moved to NYC April 2020 and did not report the change to my employer. On the NYS for I entered "part year resident" in NYC and I give the dates. Then it takes me to "your wage summary" where my employer, city and wages are blank. Wouldn't that information carry over from the Federal? If not, should I enter my employer info and wages?

You will have to enter the information yourself, reporting the amount that was earned after you moved to the city.
Unless your W-2 included "local tax" information (i.e. Employer ID, City, CIty Wages), they wouldn't have transferred from your federal return to the state/city return.
Sorry, another question. Looks like nothing was taken out for local tax. I just want to make sure I am doing this correctly.
I'll entered my wages and employer's name, then click on "allocate this employer by percentage"
-> click on "earned part while a resident and part while a nonresident"
then it asks for % I have earned while a resident in NYC - since I moved to NYC in April, I put 75% ?
Yes, you are completing your return correctly. If your employer did not withhold NYC tax, then it would not show on your Wage Summary. Your NYC tax is calculated on your NYS tax return based on your part-year resident allocation that you inputted (75%). You allocated correctly with the number of months you lived in NYC.
Your total NYC tax will be shown on Line 58 of your IT-201.
