How do I pay the State tax due online , and why the fed tax says 790 $ due even thought I paid that amount the day i filed my taxes.

Your return will always say bal due as TT is not informed of your payment. 

And the state filing instruction page should let you know how to pay the balance due for the state you owe since they all have a different procedure.  If you post your state a more accurate answer could be had.
