I do not have an employer's state ID number on my W-2. What do I do?

I have an EIN but no employer's state ID number. Is there a difference. I cant finish filing without entering the Employer's state ID number.

You can use the federal ID number that is listed in box "b" if there is not state ID number listed on your W2 in box "15".

You may also try to import the W-2.
