You guys get worse and worse EVERY year! Now you're sneaking in a premium services fee and make it incredibly hard to opt out? Never using your service again. Ridiculous.

There were major 2018 Federal (and some state) tax law changes.

For example, there are no more Forms 1040-EZ or 1040-A. Everyone must use Form 1040, with one or more schedules.  TT had to program, test, get government approval for, and support all of this.  Your fees are based on which schedules your return requires under the new law. Only very simple ones qualify for Free.

Are you in California?  If you want to have the fees deducted from your refund you have to take Premium.  Or you can pay upfront with a credit card to avoid the extra charges.

How to remove Premium, <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2154391-how-do-i-remove-premium-services">https://ttlc.intuit.com/...>
